Fundraising Information

I am selling my handmade crochet items to raise funds to donate to vulnerable folks in need. My current focus is on displaced people in Palestine. I am donating the full sale cost of each item, minus PayPal transaction fees. The full $ breakdown can be found in each item's listing. If you are interested in doing something similar and have any questions on getting started, please reach out to me, I'm happy to help!

My disability, chronic illnesses and chronic pain conditions have left me unable to pursue employment, and greatly impact my ability to create items and run a shop. So many people have reached out to me for help, so I have come up with a plan that I hope will be sustainable. I will be making items and listing them online in small batches, and the money from those sales will be donated directly to an individual fundraising campaign, which will change with each batch listed and sold.

I have a journal with the info and donation links of everyone who has contacted me for help. I am boosting their posts with comments, and sharing their posts with links to their campaigns regularly through Instagram Stories. I use this account and feature because it has an easy click-thru link. I am also working on a mega-thread of each individual/family and their donation links on Instagram Threads. If you would like this information sent to you please feel free to email me: lilyterese(at)hotmail(dot)com.

Most of the displaced people of Palestine have lost their friends and family members, their homes and possessions, and all their savings. They're unable to keep up with the severely expensive costs of essential living items - like food, water, medicine, and shelter. Many are injured and/or disabled and chronically ill, and many urgently need medical care. Many are children. All are struggling and traumatised - but our attention and donations can help!

If you want to help - follow their accounts on social media, share their posts and donation links on your social media, comment on their posts (nine words or more, no emojis, to boost in the algorithim). Share their info directly with family, friends and co-workers. The more their stories and links are shared - the greater chance of donations to help them survive, and eventually evacuate when the crossing reopens.

You can organise gold-coin donations, or fun raffles of donated items etc, within your family, friends, coworkers, and community groups. Donations of $1 or $5 stack up quickly - and every cent makes a positive impact!

So often in these times of great despair and chaos we feel powerless to help. While there's many issues we can only support or oppose in limited ways, we are able to make huge impacts directly to the lives of those most effected with  donations. The people united in fundraising are enabling shelter, full bellies, medical attention, and hope for the future!
