Persephone Patch (MED)

This listing is for a jumbo-sized machine embroidered patch inspired by Roman and Greek mythology of the goddess Persephone/Prosperina. This circular patch is extremely detailed and lightweight, yet sturdy.

The formidable goddess is depicted under a full Harvest Moon, alongside a deer skull, holding a dagger in her blood soaked hand which pierces a pomegranate, wreathed with Maiden's Hair Fern and Magnolia blossoms, and framed by golden wheat.

Persephone/Prosperina is the goddess of Spring and rebirth, and also the queen of the Underworld ruling alongside Hades/Pluto. Prosperina is a strong and furious goddess; upon the earth she invokes Spring and heralds the harvest, while in the Underworld she rules over the cursed souls of mortals and carries out their morbid penance. Prosperina is an iconic representation of the dualities of femme expression; of beauty, growth, rebirth and creativity - and of strength, fierce protection, and even destructive fury.

This patch measures approximately 13 x 13 cm, with a laser cut, heat-sealed edge, and iron on backing. This patch is ready to be ironed (and/or sewn for extra security) onto your jacket, vest, backpack, scarf - whatever textile base your heart desires! PLEASE NOTE: some colours may vary from screen to screen and to the actual item.

~ How To Apply ~
- Set domestic iron onto the "cotton" setting.
- Position as desired onto textile surface (ensure its not extremely heat-sensitive fabric).
- Cover the patch with a tea towel/cloth and iron for 20 minutes.
- Turn textile surface over (if possible) and iron for another 15 minutes.
- After cooling you can machine or hand stitch the patch for extra security if you wish.
